Senior Fellow Membership Details

VGL Senior Fellows membership affords members the opportunity to interact with foreign policy experts and high profile thought leaders, primarily through exclusive programming and media partnerships

OverView

The VGL Senior Fellows program offers promising leaders in government, media, nongovernmental organizations, law, business, finance, and academia the opportunity to participate in a sustained conversation on international affairs and U.S. foreign policy. The program allows these members to interact with foreign policy experts and engage in a wide variety of events designed especially for their interests. Each year, a new class of VGL Senior Fellows will be selected into membership.

Programming

The VGL Senior Fellows can participate in an array of exclusive programming through Veterans in Global Leadership. Membership includes attending the 4-Day Flagship Summit at Georgetown University at the McDonough School of Business. These 4-days are an intensive array of workshops, roundtables and speaking engagements spearheaded by former U.S. Cabinet Secretaries, University Presidents, Flag Level Officers, Presidents of Think Tanks and private industry experts. The evenings are set aside for private networking events.

In addition to taking part in the 4-Day Flagship Summit, VGL Senior Fellows can participate in our Leadership Seminar Series throughout the year. These are usually a breakfast our lunch in NYC or DC with senior thought leaders. The Leadership Seminar Series has featured Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) Leadership Seminar with retired General David Petraeus, Hakluyt Leadership Seminar with former CIA Director John Brennan, and Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Leadership Seminar with former White House Chief of Staff Dennis McDonough.

Events and Panels

Our organization continues to bring together prominent and diverse stakeholders for cross-collaboration, partnerships, and diversified branding opportunities. Our panels and events have been hosted by Forbes, Center for a New American Security, Atlantic Council, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Columbia University, New York University, Fordham Law School and George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs.
