FOCUS AREA: CHINESE LANGUAGE & CULTURE
Matthew is a United States Marine Corps veteran with multiple overseas deployments including humanitarian work in Chonburi, Thailand and Northern Territory, Australia. Currently, Matthew works with fellow veterans in the non-profit sector for veterans with combat and service related trauma. His passion lies in working with foreign nations and fellow human beings. He is an undergraduate at Columbia University majoring in East Asian Studies with a language in Mandarin Chinese. He continues to diversify his educational experience as a Warrior-Scholar Project alumnus at Yale University, and a research assistant in Formosa, Argentina where he studied Owl Monkeys with Proyecto Mirikiná. Upon completing his degree, he plans to continue his service to our nation at the Central Intelligence Agency.
